The General Incorporated Association Educo (the “Association”) shall strictly manage personal information by implementing security measures and other necessary measures, including maintaining a security system, preparing a management system and providing thorough education to employees, in order to keep the registered personal information accurate and most recent, and to prevent improper access to or loss, damage, falsification or leak of personal information.

Please bear in mind that your registered information shall be reserved in the database based on the new examination system in order to manage information based on the new examination system implemented by the Association and to improve convenience. If you give your consent to this privacy policy, all your examination record data will be shown on your examinee’s personal page and it will become easier for you to manage your own examination data with regard to new examinations developed by the Association. This new examinee management system will contribute to the improvement of convenience for examinees. 1. Acquisition of Personal Information and Purpose of Utilization

The personal information provided by you shall be utilized only for the following purposes under the strict management of the Association:

1. Analysis for development of examinations by the Association and preparation of statistical data;
2. Management of examinee information, responses to various inquiries or contact from the Association; and
3. Notice of useful information from the Association, including invitations for examination, information regarding events or campaigns, and revisions to the scope of the examination.

In addition, EDUCO and LPI-Japan may receive the exam results of the exam that the exam taker took using EDUCO-ID from the exam organization. The exam results of such exams shall be used only for the management of exam taker information by EDUCO, the response to various inquiries, and the certification of exam takers.

2. Restriction on Providing Information to Third Parties

The personal information provided by you shall not be disclosed except in the following cases:

1. consent is obtained from the person who registered the personal information; or
2. disclosure is permissible under applicable law.

3. Proper Management of Personal Information

We shall implement the measures to maintain the most recent personal information provided by you and prevent improper access to or loss, damage, falsification or leak of personal information.

4. Management of Outsourcee

When we outsource processing personal information, we shall conduct necessary and appropriate supervision of the outsourcee in order to ensure that the personal information is safely managed.

5. Confirmation and Correction, etc. of Personal Information

When a person who provided personal information requests confirmation or correction, etc. of personal information, we will respond quickly to such request to the extent reasonably possible.

7. Provision of Personal Information to Exam Delivery Companies (Test Centers)

The Association will provide personal information to Pearson VUE Test Centers (hereinafter referred to as "Pearson VUE"), an exam delivery company, in order to conduct the exams that candidates wish to take.

Pearson VUE will use personal information of candidates and exam takers provided by the Association in accordance with Pearson VUE's Privacy and Cookie Policy and Terms of Service.

8. Revision of this Policy

We reserve the right to update this policy from time to time. Customers should check the latest version of this policy on a regular basis. We will post the revised privacy policy and revision date on our website.
